Snow Day

Over the last 2 days we have had a mixture of thunderstorms/sleet/ice/snow. It has made for a real mess. Oklahomans don't know what to do when winter weather comes, but it was great to be home for a snow day. Shane got to stay home yesterday and today, so we have been doing everything possible to keep busy.
We started off the day with making a Geo-Trax town. Reese got the airport for Christmas, and this was the first time that we made a track using every piece that we own.

Reese is a game fanatic, so we had a game tournament.

Reese looks like TROUBLE...he beat Mommy at this game.

Feeling a little cocky from his win, he challenged Daddy to a game. If you look closely, you can see the discouraged look on his face, as Shane had all of his pieces around the board, before Reese even got one out of his home. He really was a pretty good sport.

After games, Reese made us some "dinner" with his play food. He is an excellent chef. I love the apron. His future wife will appreciate our efforts someday!

We finally ventured out in the snow. It was a cold 19 degrees (a big difference from the 76 degrees last week), but we bundled up to play.

Making a snow angel.

Getting ready to sled down the driveway.

Shane pulled him around for a little bit.

Then he was ready to go it alone. Getting ready for the big push.

Reese being very "helpful" shovelling the grass.

That is the biggest train track! I would have to put that together all the time. LOL! We too played games all day. I am worn out from them.
